Confirm Your Trades!

One of the most important things you need to do when trading with a fellow bee is to make sure you confirm your trades. When someone asks, “Would you like to trade with me?” it really is a question and needs to be answered. Don’t assume that bees will know you’ve added their patch to your quilt. Not replying to trade emails results in bees not knowing you’ve accepted their trade and added their patch to your quilt. As a result, your patch does not get added to their quilt.

Everyone gets busy sometimes and forgets this very important step in the trading process. However, make an effort to confirm every trade even if it is a trade you initiated yourself. A quick email to let someone know you’ve added their patch is a nice gesture and can encourage more conversation between you and the other bee.

Remember when trading to give the bee all of your contact information (Name, Bee Number, Email, and URL) and to let them know you’ve accepted their trade and added their patch to your quilt.

Hmm, I didn’t even think about confirming a trade if I asked for the trade in the first place. Nice tip! I’ll start using it!
